Creative Writing Course for Teenagers

With Olive O’Brien. Starting 13/10/2020

Start Date: 13th October 2020

Our courses are in huge demand and are filling up very quickly, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

This one-to-one creative writing course for teenagers fits in with a student’s schedule, as you don’t have to be online at any particular time or day. You will be given weekly notes and assignments to help you. Your tutor will read each assignment and provide written feedback. However, the main thing is to have fun when writing!

In the first module, we’ll look at the importance of observation.

In the second week, we’ll examine what makes successful characters in fiction.

Week 3 deals with point of view. Every piece of writing comes from a particular point of view, as in who is telling the story.

In Module 4, we’ll look at what you need to consider when you’re plotting a story and how to end a story.

In Week 5, you’ll learn how to write effective dialogue. We’ll also examine setting.

In the final module, we’ll take a look at editing and how to get your work into print.
