Monash Undergraduate Prize for Creative Writing

The Monash Undergraduate Prize for Creative Writing is open until April 14, 2019.

The prize is open to Australian and New Zealand university students, enrolled in either an undergraduate or honours degree.

All types of creative writing are welcome, including short stories, non-fiction narrative and narrative verse.

First prize is $4,000. The Highest placed Monash University student prize is $1,000. The winning entry will be published in Verge, Monash University’s annual creative writing anthology, and Kill Your Darlings. The winning author(s) will also have the option to work with Verge editors to create a second piece of work, to be published in the anthology. These additional pieces will be paid a rate of $250.
