The Stringybark Times Past Short Story Award 2024
Historical fiction competition exploring Australian history.
Word Count: 1500 words or fewer
Requirements:
• must be based on a real event or events;
• the event(s) must have occurred in Australia or had clear relevance to Australia; and
• the story must be accompanied by a 150 word or fewer, explanation of the ‘real facts’ behind the story.

Prizes: award pool of over $1070 in cash and books provided by Stringybark Publishing.
Entry fees: $15 for one story, $28 for two stories, $39 for three stories (max).
